Universal Life Insurance


ChoiceULsm, a quality universal life insurance policy marketed through the Worksite Services Group of the GE Financial Assurance companies, offers employees several options to fit their needs. Choice UL is underwritten by First Colony Life Insurance Company, a GE Financial Assurance Company.

ChoiceUL Permanent Orientation offers a life-long insurance policy with level premiums and cash value accumulation.

ChoiceUL Term Orientation is designed for shorter coverage durations. You can select coverage to last 10, 15, 20, years or to age 65.

Advantages include:

•Benefits or premiums that can be increased or decreased within certain limits, without having to purchase a new policy.

•Accidental death benefits to match life insurance benefits ($100,000 maximum). Not available in all states.

•Accelerated Death Benefit Rider (automatically included) pays a portion of death proceeds to you upon claim and proof of terminal illness (within 6-12 months of expected death according to state requirements. Not available in all states).

•Family coverage available for eligible family members.

•Cash accumulation-ChoiceUL policy values accumulate at current interest rates and you can borrow according to available values for emergencies or opportunities.

•Convenient payment of premiums through paycheck deductions. No bills or checks to write.

•Portable Coverage. You can maintain coverage if you leave your current employer through an alternative payment method.

ChoiceUL Features

ChoiceUL provides several options for you and your family. For full detail, please review your policy and check with your enrollment representative.

Dependent Coverage
Your spouse and eligible children may also be covered by a ChoiceUL policy. Or, your children may be covered under a Children's Term Insurance Rider. You don't need to be enrolled yourself for other eligible family members to be enrolled.

Children's Term Insurance Rider
This rider is available on employee or spouse polices, but not both. It insures eligible children ages 15 days to 23 years at issue. The employee or spouse must be 55 years of age or younger at policy issue.

Accidental Death Benefit
You and your spouse may select an accidental death benefit that equals your life insurance benefit up to a maximum of $100,000. This benefit is available from issue ages 18 through 60. Accidental death coverage terminates at age 70.

Scheduled Benefit Increases (Available for permanent orientation only)
You and your spouse may elect to receive scheduled benefit increases when you first apply. To be eligible, you must be between ages 18 and 65 and your spouse between ages 18 and 60 at issue.
